Toby has been active in investment real estate sales since 2020, with stops at Marcus & Millichap and James Capital Advisors before joining Lyon Stahl in December 2025. His background spans commercial real estate and the hospitality industry, giving him an operations-driven perspective on asset management, tenant demand, and repositioning strategies that goes beyond the numbers.

Born and raised in China, Toby has lived, studied, and worked across major U.S. cities including Chicago and New York City before settling in Los Angeles. Fluent in Mandarin, he works extensively with Chinese investors and developers, serving as a trusted bridge between domestic and international capital. Toby holds a Master's degree in Hotel Finance and Investment from New York University, where he graduated as valedictorian, and a Bachelor's degree from Purdue University. Outside of real estate, Toby is a former choir singer and a restaurant owner
operator. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking, pickleball and going to the gym.
