A natural leader both on and off the field, Jesus was elected Captain of the Marina Aquatic Crew Team during his senior year at Redondo Union High School — leading the Lightweight Four Class to a National Championship. He went on to earn a degree in Business Communication from Arizona State University, where he served as Chancellor of his fraternity.
